Connecticut Governor Commends Jefferson Radiology’s Ongoing Dedication to Breast Cancer Awareness
Farmington, CT – Jefferson Radiology’s Farmington office had the honor of hosting Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont for the fourth consecutive year in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The practice being chosen to host this annual event reaffirms their commitment to early detection and the trust they’ve cultivated within the community.
The press conference, which saw Channel 3 in attendance, featured Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz as the master of ceremonies. Notable state officials, including DCF Commissioner Vannessa Dorantes, DPH Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jody Terranova, and Public Health Committee Leadership, Senator Saud Anwar, State Representative Cristin McCarthy Vahey, Senator Heather Somers, and State Representative Nicole Klarides Ditria, demonstrated their unwavering support for the mission. Linda Kowalski and Karen Weeks of the Radiological Society of Connecticut helped orchestrate the event.
Dr. Diana James, head of breast imaging at Jefferson Radiology, and Jefferson Radiology practice president Dr. Ethan Foxman emphasized the crucial importance of early detection during their presentations. Nicole Farrelly, Jefferson Radiology Director of Operations and breast cancer survivor, shared her moving testimony, highlighting the significance of annual mammograms and the impact of early detection. Governor Ned Lamont expressed his gratitude to Dr. James and the team for their contributions to the fight against breast cancer.
